Chrosziel Lens Test Projector P-TP7
Gerhard Baier

„For P+S Technik it was a great pleasure to support the Chrosziel Lens Projection Master Class. We greatly appreciated the direct communications between manufacturer and user, since it is vital for the product development. For me, personally, it is exciting to see what is important while developing a lens and to compare it with parameters customers and users prefer. This is always a good common ground to start fascinating and lasting discussions. For the future, I would like to see even greater prominence of this event, because it allows a much better overview of the lens market and a direct comparison of the different lenses.“

„It was a pleasure working with Chrosziel during Cine Gear. We had a nice time in the lens projection room with Dan Lopez from Otto Nemenz. He shared his wealth of knowledge about how to read lens characteristics with the projector. We discussed the impact of OPLFs on lens focusing, shimming of cameras and lenses, and maintaining optical quality. The participants were attentive and had plenty of great questions for Dan. Thanks to everyone involved in putting this together!“

Anyone can claim performance of their lenses but given full frame coverage and variable lamp power settings on the P-TP7 there aberrations and distortion have no place to hide. We thank Chrosziel for letting our lenses do the talking at Sigma Cine’s Chrosziel Lens Master class at this year’s Cine Gear and look forward to many years of using this valuable tool in our service center here at Sigma Burbank.

„A huge thank you to all supporters of the Lens Projection Master Class 2019. Only with their help, it was possible to convey a comprehensive picture of the current lens market for the trade show visitors. Our sophisticated large format test projector P-TP7, 60 mm image circle with perfect illumination uniformity allowed an excellent evaluation of the lens quality. The visitor’s interest in the Master Class was so overwhelming that we even had to turn away some participants for reasons of space. We were also overwhelmed by being awarded a Cine Gear Technical Achievement Award for the P-TP7. We are so excited that we have been able to convince the jury by German engineering.“

Learn more: Large Format LED Lens Test Projector TP7

With the award-winning Lens Test Projector P-TP7 Chrosziel continues the line of its successful Lens Test Projectors. Parts of the P-TP7 development were realized by the cooperation with ARRI™. The result is a projector that was built with highest precision below 5μm plane parallelism between mount and reticle. Also, the engineers focused on a user-friendly and multi-functional projector built to last.
